Celeste Burdon is an Irish photographer based in Cork City. Taking up the camera as a way to document the life of her and her friends as they took their steps from adolescences into adulthood, the camera never left her side. After graduating from Crawford College of Art and Design she continued to document the dynamic creations of new and upcoming artists, musicians, brands and everything in-between. She blends the nature of her subjects and the environment around to create striking images curated for each person. Celeste has photographed the likes of The National, Sharon Van Etten, Nick Cave, Jessie Ware, Bruce Springsteen, CMAT, Florence & The Machine to name a few and continues to hone her artistic skill to better capture new and returning friends.

This year, I want to challenge myself on this—not just in how I approach my own photography, but in becoming more empathetic and knowledgeable behind the lens. I'm incredibly lucky to capture so many beautiful and kind souls, both on and off stage, and I want to bring that same care and intention to how I photograph myself.
